Where are you currently and what do you do?
I live in Pleasant Point, a little town just out of Timaru on a little lifestyle  block. I teach at the local kura. 

What's the coolest thing you get to do in your job/business/day?
The coolest thing is being able to make an impact on a future generation and inspire tamariki, all while having loads of laughs and being able to act a little silly at times.

What amazes you?
How powerful the mind is.

Are you named after anyone?
My name is very special to me as it's a connection I have to my Koro. I was born in Rotorua and didn't have a name, Mum called Koro and told him of my arrival, he said "call her Hinemoa, princess of the lake". It is a beautiful name and a beautiful love story.

What do you do for fun?
Clean and play sports.

What star sign are you?
The sign known for being emotional, nurturing and highly intuitive- Cancer


How would you describe your style?
A little 80's/90's mixed with modern, I like class but I like to turn it up with a bit of hip too.

What's your favourite item in your wardrobe?
This is definitely a coat handed down to me from my mum. 

What is the oldest piece of clothing you own?
A pair of ripped blue jeans with zips either side of the ankle.

Item of clothing, makeup, or accessory that you can’t live with out?
This would definitely be hoops!

What is/was your favourite fashion trend? Current or Past.
Shoulder pads, bangles, chokers, slip dresses and anything neon or off the shoulder.

My Mum, Bianca Jagger, Jlo, Cindy Crawford, Blake Lively, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Alicia Silverstone


What’s your favorite way to get in some exercise?
Doing what I enjoy- playing squash and I am loving weight training at the moment.

What does being healthy mean to you? 
Having a strong body and strong mind. Making good choices that will help energize you. Fueling yourself with the right nutrients, and feeding the mind with good thoughts. 

Do you have a daily practice you do for your well being/health?
I think it's important to adopt habits that connect with you and make good choices that relate to your lifestyle. For me it is important that I exercise daily, feed my body with foods that make me feel good and stay productive.

I feel most energized when . . .  I've ticked something of my to do list!

I've just started reading Becoming by Michelle Obama and it's great so far.

What's the strangest thing you believed as a child?
That 'pumpkin hunting' was a real thing.

What are the achievements you are most proud of?
Learning to speak Te Reo Māori, my native language.

What is your favourite or most useful piece of advice you’ve received or learnt? 
Invest in you! Challenge yourself and put yourself out of your comfort zone, expand your worldview and see the world beyond your own community but most importantly- be kind!
