KIA ORA

Pania is a Māori designer based in NZ. PANIA LABEL is a slow fashion brand with a collection based model that allows us to slow down and design collections that fit in with our creative and design ethos, ensuring that each piece is intentionally designed and released in limited quantities. Our style is “relaxed tailored” understated with a bit of drama. Designed in New Zealand with production in New Zealand and abroad. Our partnerships are currently in NZ and China. We are mindful of who we work with, selecting our partners for their quality, skillset and work environment.

I whakapapa to Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Hauā. I spent 18 years in the hairdressing industry before starting my label in 2017.

With our designs, we aim to reflect our brand’s vision of sharing our love of indigenous design, art, artisanship, conservation and believe that clothing should be well-made, treasured and kept for many years".
