KIA ORA

I am a designer and artist living in Aotearoa. I whakapapa to Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Maniapoto and Ngāti Hauā. Born in Taupō I’ve lived all around NZ and overseas but Taupō and Wellington are home. After 15 years in the hairdressing industry, my life took a beautiful turn when I became a mama, shifting my focus to raising my young family, which allowed me to pursue my creative dreams. I returned to university, completed my design degree, and in 2017, I launched my label.

Growing up, I was surrounded by people who were bold, creative, resourceful, and stylish. They supported and encouraged my passion for fashion and Art. This alongside my love and connection for my whakapapa and tūrangawaewae, keeps me inspired and grounded in my work at Pania Label.

PANIA LABEL is a slow fashion brand with a collection based model that allows us to slow down and design collections that fit in with our creative and design ethos. My style is inspired from my love of structure and tailoring and the free spirited poetic bohemians, and romantics. I call it "a relaxed tailored vibe, understated with a bit of drama."
